Our ideal teachers have a strong background in their content area, are keen to take on our model of Personalized Learning, use data and an LMS to personalize learning for their students.

We are always interested in potential talented educators – if there is no open position, please apply into a general application of the department you are interested in.

Applicants selected for an interview will be contacted via email. The RTHS interview process is rigorous. Successful applicants will meet with members of the faculty and school leadership for conversation and a formal interview. Additionally, interviewed applicants will be asked to teach a class. Interviews will likely last 2 to 3 hours.

  • Salary is commensurate with experience. RTHS generally follows the state pay scale with Wake County’s supplement for the previous year and also pays for performance and contributions to the school learning community.

Employment Requirements: At least one year of teaching high schoolers in a high school classroom, unless you are graduating from a professional teacher education program with in-service experience. Three years teaching experience is even better.
