This club is focused on researching and spreading the word about George Taylor, a black man who was lynched in 1918 in Rolesville NC. This is the only documented lynching in North Carolina, although there were many more. We will connect this to present day lynchings, such as those of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd, and find ways to make our community, and ones near us, safer from these. We will also do service projects relating to these topics. These projects will be decided on by the club members. We will work with some organizations to make this change happen. Some of these organizations are the WCCRC (Wake County Community Remembrance Coalition), and the EJI (Equal Justice Initiative).
