Last year Duke implemented mandatory background checks (paid for by Duke) for all volunteers. This is a multi-step process, so please be patient as we must comply with Duke’s regulations.

Step 1: Check your calendars to see which games you are available
Step 2: Email your full name & email address to Amy Hale, amybhale@mac.com, along with which games you would like to volunteer. Note: Names must be 100% accurate.
Step 3: Amy will send to the information to Duke
Step 4: Duke will contact you via email (check your junk mail) with a link to complete the background check.
Step 5: Complete the submission process within 48 hours of receiving the email from Duke.

Thank you for reading all this information and know the PTSO appreciates all of our volunteers! Please contact amybhale@mac.com with any questions.

Read below from Duke on what to expect in your email:

The background check process is the one used by Duke University for hiring; therefore, the language is appropriate for new employees and not volunteers. The email is auto-generated and cannot be modified so wording will be geared toward employees. You and your volunteers are not being hired by Duke.

Please provide all request information. Sometimes additional information is required. Duke/Infomart will contact you directly during this process.

Here is what you will see when invited via email to start the background check. Be sure to check your SPAM/Junk folders for this email just in case.

SAMPLE ONLY!! This real link will be emailed separately to every person:
