I started my professional career as a research scientist studying mucus and the ability of cilia to transport it vertically against gravity (mucus is actually really cool!) in graduate school. After realizing that a life of science wasn’t for me, I thought back to what I wanted to be as a kid, and decided to pursue a career in education. I taught for a year at Jordan High School in Durham before finding RTHS and falling in love and have been teaching here since 2016. I’m passionate about building relationships with students and encouraging them to be the best, truest version of themselves.
